Frances Baard (1909–1997) was a South African trade unionist and anti-apartheid activist. She played a key role in the Federation of South African Women (FEDSAW) and helped organize the 1956 Women’s March against pass laws. A lifelong advocate for workers' and women's rights, she was imprisoned for her activism and later honored for her contributions to South Africa’s freedom struggle.
